Since early 2007 German-born initiator and founder of Erased Tapes Records, Robert Raths, has carved out a reputation for discovering innovative new artists from all around the globe. The label comprises a wide spectrum of music – from modern classical to post rock to hometronica to intelligent dance – challenging and inspiring people of all ages.

Erased Tapes is the loving home of an eclectic mix of young talent. It features Icelandic modern classical composer Ólafur Arnalds, London-based purveyor of intelligent dance music Ryan West aka Rival Consoles, Thom Yorke-tipped improv solo pianist Nils Frahm from Berlin, multi-instrumentalist Peter Broderick from Portland, instrumental rock quintet Codes In The Clouds from Dartford, Yourcodenameis:milo mastermind Justin Lockey’s indietronica project The British Expeditionary Force from Newcastle, Bloodgroup’s Janus Rasmussen and Ólafur Arnalds’ minimal techno outfit Kiasmos among others.


To celebrate each year of new Erased Tapes releases, label nights, tours and worldwide distribution, every 10th release comes in form of a brand new label compilation. A universal code enables listeners to download a FREE low-res selection of songs from the most recent Erased Tapes releases, plus exclusive remixes for or by friend of the label.
