What happens if I download
a file with an error in the sound?
Please let us know immediately
by email: support@erasedtapes.com
It's handy if you can include in
your email a description of the problem – giving the exact time in the track
that the error occurs - we'll get you the correct file to you straight away.
What happens if a download
fails midway through?
Once you've purchased a track it
remains in your DOWNLOAD manager until successfully downloaded. If you don’t
get the track, we will re-enable your order immediately. In which case, please
email: support@erasedtapes.com
Where is my download? I
can't find the ZIP file?
Sometimes browsers (such as
Safari) automatically unzip your download.
Look for a folder called
‘eratp*’.
I downloaded an MP3 and my
Mac thinks it's an EXCEL/BINA file?
Not to worry. This is an
occasional bug for Mac users that's due to long file names. When the MP3
downloaded, your Mac shortened the filename and lost the '.mp3' extension. This
left your Mac unclear how to handle the file, and as a result it makes a guess
(e.g. Excel).
To remedy, simply rename the
track by adding the file extension '.mp3'. In the unlikely event that you
experience more problems, please email support@erasedtapes.com
What happens if I
accidentally delete tracks from my hard drive?
Once you've successfully
downloaded a track from us, the transaction is complete and the files become
your responsibility (just like a CD/Vinyl purchase). Make sure you backup your
purchases/hard drive. Sooner or later, all hard drives fail, yours included.
When this happens you will cry!
HOW TO ORDER
1. REGISTER
Before ordering Downloads, we
recommend you register first. Click on Register/Logon at the top of the screen.
Enter your (valid) email address carefully, and choose a password
. You then have to agree with our mandatory End User Agreement to
proceed. Once done, your Erased Tapes Online Store account becomes active. Your
email address should now be displayed at the top of the screen.
2. PLACE ORDER
Click BUY next to any physical
release or Full Album Download in the middle window of Erased Tapes Online
Store. In order to purchase Single Downloads you need to buy a Download voucher
first. This is added to YOUR BASKET in the right hand window. To remove Items
from your order, just click the X next to the item name. Once your order is
finished you can then CHECKOUT.
3. CHECK OUT
Once you're ready to pay, click
CHECKOUT at the bottom to proceed to the payment stage. You will then have the
choice of paying by PayPal.
The following cards are
supported by Paypal: MASTERCARD, VISA, VISA ELECTRON, VISA
DELTA. Plus debit cards: SWITCH, MAESTRO, ELECTRON,
SOLO
Paying By PayPal:
If you pay on PayPal using a
credit card then once PayPal have succesfully charged your card they notify us.
This process is pretty much instant which means you can go straight to your downloads. Once your payment has been successfully
processed you will then be forwarded to the Download Manager.
4. DOWNLOADING YOUR ORDER
At the Download Manager, you can
download each track individually, or if your order contains a full album,
download a all the tracks zipped into one convenient
download.
Remember, if it's a zipped file
you download, you will need to have the right software installed on your
computer so you can un-zip them once it is downloaded onto your computer.
There's lots of free software
(or evaluation versions) that can unzip files. If you're using a Mac try Stuffit. If you're using a PC try Winzip.
